There was a time when competing at an Elite Level for the Italian team of artistic gymnastics was enough. When being part of the Team Final was all the fans would ask for. When watching gymnasts doing their routines properly from start to finish was our biggest accomplishment.  Then something changed.  Expectations changed because the level of our athletes increased.  At the 2012 London Olympics, the Italian women's national team reached the team final. Do you know when was the last time before that? In 1960. The result achieved in the final by our girls ( seventh ) was the best in a long time. We were happy and we knew it.  But then came a wave of terrific girls, who even as children promised medals and dreams. And no, they did not let us down, no matter what the newspapers might say, no matter what expectations might whisper in our ears. Sembra impossibile, eppure è così. Strano pensando che lo slogan di questo sport dovrebbe essere #WeRaceAsOne no? Il campioanto 2022 di Formula 1 è finito da esattamente un mese e tra l'annuncio di un Team Principal e l'altro, la FIA (Fédération Internationale l'Automobile) sposta tutta l'attenzione mediatica su di sè per questioni, ancora una volta, negative.  Sì, perchè è di oggi la notizia che dalla stagione 2023 ai piloti verrà impedito di esprimere o rilasciare qualunque tipo di dichiarazione politica senza previa autorizzazione .  Negli anni siamo stati fortunati a vedere vari piloti metterci la faccia, scendere in pista sostenendo minoranze e lottando per i diritti fondamentali di ognuno. Tra i tanti gesti importanti ricordiamo tutte le volte in cui Lewis Hamilton e Sebastian Vettel hanno indossato i colori arcobaleno a favore dei diritti della comunità LGBTQ+ e quando quest'ultimo ne ha parlato ai microfoni della F1 durante il weekend di Ungheria 2021, paes...
